Questions, answered
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 9–14 months ahead, especially for spring and fall Saturdays. If your wedding is sooner, still reach out. Last-minute dates do open up.
How do we reserve our date?
A signed agreement and a 50% non-refundable retainer reserve your date. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the wedding.
When will we receive our film?
Highlight films are typically delivered within 6–8 weeks. A short social teaser arrives sooner so you have something to share while you wait. Rush delivery is available as an add-on.
Do you travel outside of Spartanburg?
Absolutely. I film across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. Travel within 60 miles of Spartanburg, SC is included; beyond that, a travel fee covers mileage and lodging. Destination weddings are always welcome.
Will you be the one filming our wedding?
Yes. I personally film every Ember & Ivory wedding. In collections with a second filmmaker, I bring a trusted, experienced shooter I've worked with many times.
Can we choose the music for our film?
You're welcome to share songs and styles you love, and I'll find licensed music that fits that feeling. Licensed music means your film can be shared online without being muted or taken down.
Do you work alongside our photographer?
All the time. I coordinate with your photographer before the day so we stay out of each other's shots and keep the timeline relaxed.
What happens if it rains?
Some of the most beautiful films happen in the rain. I bring gear for every kind of weather and we'll find the best light wherever you are, indoors or out.
